Bay Springs Church and Community,
Thank you so much for being patient with us during the last few weeks as we have faced challenges that we could have never anticipated! It is with great excitement that we announce the re-opening of our indoor services. However, while we are very eager to get back together indoors, we are still going to be practicing some safety precautions throughout the process. With that being said there will be some changes we would like to mention. Church will not look nor function the same way as before so we should expect some differences upon our return. Some of these differences involve our seating arrangement, where we exit and enter and even how we will try to do each of these. We have arranged the sanctuary in a way that will allow for us to maintain a six-foot distance between each row and must keep each row limited to one family. If your family needs more than one row you are welcome to use as many rows needed but we can not sit with anyone outside of our household. When we enter and exit the sanctuary, we will use the doors of the sanctuary and the entrance at the educational facility; the fellowship hall and fellowship hall entrance will be locked and closed. There will be restrooms available in the foyer of the sanctuary and in the hallway of the educational facility. Something else we are going to implement is a second Sunday morning service. We will have our regular eleven o’clock service and we will also have an eight o’clock morning service so that we may be able to follow social distancing guidelines. Each service will contain worship, the word, and as much love as we can possibly share without putting anyone into harm’s way. We will not be having our small group meeting, Sunday School, Children’s church or nursery, for now but feel free to bring your children with you! I can assure you they will not hinder anything that we will be doing! We ask that you would please be dismissed immediately after each service so that we will have enough time to clean and prepare for the next service. We are going to do everything we can to make church as enjoyable and safe for you and your families while we embark on our journey to the new place God is leading us to. We completely understand if you do not feel comfortable coming to an indoor service and even ask for you to stay at home if you feel anxious about the idea. If you are sick or have come in contact with someone who has been sick please consider the health and well-being of your fellow brothers and sisters and stay at home! We are going to be filming at least one of the morning services for those who would like to stay at home and watch them live on Facebook. If you decide to come to a service, do not be alarmed by the no contact signs and other reminders that may be posted around the church! Everything we are doing is in love and for your health and well-being! Thank you all for being so understanding as we have crossed some uncharted seas together! I am excited to see what God has waiting on the other side of the Jordan! I would like to leave you with a familiar word of encouragement today! “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28) God has not left the helm of the ship! He’s still the captain and is still driving the ship of Zion through the storm. I truly believe that He is leading His church into new arenas of blessing and that the best is yet to come! We can praise Him on credit because the latter glory of this house will be greater than the former! Let us march into a season of Jubilee with holy hands lifted high shouting “Look what the Lord has done!”. With love and Appreciation, Cody Bearden |
